Post Game – From Athlete to Official

ULTIMATE OFFICIATING CLINIC EXPERIENCE

Our focus on recruiting former college players is deliberate. These athletes possess several key characteristics that make them desirable candidates for officiating. Athletes will receive state-of-the-art training covering philosophies, mechanics, game management, and real on-field scenarios. Our goal is to prepare Athletes for a successful officiating career. The key terms—Elevate, Refine, and Excel—capture the essence of what we aim to achieve

ELEVATE YOUR KNOWLEDGE

Former players have an intimate understanding of football rules, strategies, and gameplay. Their experience gives them insight that is invaluable for officiating.

Former players thrive in competitive environments. Officiating requires composure under pressure, especially during critical moments in a game.

Many former college players held leadership roles within their teams. Such skills translate seamlessly to officiating.

REFINE YOUR SKILLS

College football instills a deep respect for the sport. Our officials will carry this onto the field, ensuring fair play and sportsmanship.

Former players empathize with the emotions players and coaches experience during intense games. This empathy fosters better communication and conflict resolution.

Our officials will be well-prepared to control the environment and enforce rules, regardless of the crowd’s energy.

EXCEL TO THE NEXT LEVEL

College football is fast-paced, and former players are accustomed to the intensity. They can keep up with the action, anticipate plays, and make split-second judgments.

College athletes have faced adversity—whether it’s recovering from injuries, dealing with losses, or handling criticism. These experiences build resilience, which is essential for officiating and applicable to all facets of life.

College football demands peak performance. Our officials will excel when the stakes are high and as the intensity rises.

REPLAY – Postponed Until 2026 Clinic.

The Instant Replay portion of the clinic is designed to provide experiences, philosophies, and rule applications taught by veteran replay officials at both the FBS and NFL level using the DVSport system. The hands-on use of the DVSport system allows users access to pre-recorded games and the ability to simulate a review process.  Attendees will learn how the system works, the instances in which it would be used, and how replay supports the officiating product on the field. The Replay Casebook will be provided, electronically, to prepare attendees and enhance their knowledge prior to attending the clinic.
